Townships

Am feeling a bit lost still in the new world, but am slowly getting along.
Everywhere we see these townships with poor people and they carry their kids on their backs like on the picture, and they dress up in thick thick winterclothes and jumpers! Apparantly it keeps them cool.....?

Oh yes, about this joining the "mile-high club" on the planetrip over here.... Ha ha, funny story becouse, sure, we joined, well, kind of anyway.. We got drunk on heaps of white wine and didn't quite make it all the way to the toilets. So we stayed right there and got kinky in our seats! (Sorry mom...) Beat that!!

1st impression

Hey hey hey, finally in saffa-land! It's very wierd and I'm still suffering from a massive culture chock... It's all so different; they have yellow birds, tribal people walking on the roads, and it feels like I'm back in the 50's! (Not that I was ever there but I can imagine it was something like this.)

No it's not all that bad. I'll just get used to it!
We're in Dan's hometown and it's a small little town outside of Johannesburg, so obviously it's going to be very different to everything else. As soon as we get to Cape town in a couple of weeks, I'm sure I will be more adjusted to things.

I will continue my search of a good computer, and when I finally find one I will write some more!

My hometown

In London for the last time in probably a very long time.
Staying over in one of our favourite parts of the city; Warwick avenue in Maida Vale.

We came into London yesterday on a bus and, like always, it feels like we never left in the first place. It's always going to be the best place in the world to me, and I'm always going to miss it when I'm away.

Going for coffee now and then we're leaving at 17.00 from Heathrow.
Maybe we'll bump into a famous person again?! Last time I was at Heathrow I bumped in to Natalie Portman. She's very pretty. And very short. Like the rest of them guys in Hollywood.

So nervous

Getting so nervous now about leaving... But poor Dan is worse than me, he gets constant panicattacks about it all.

Today we're not really doing anything. We are supposed to pack our stuff but it seems so hard to get started...

Cardiff

Still in Cardiff. 3 short days and I'll be on the other side of the world.
Holding my breath.
Looking through a haze today. Am between chapters so feel a bit confused.

Up there is Cardiff castle. Me and Dan went in there one day when we were new in town; it's pretty cool.
I like castles.
And Cardiff has been very cool to us, but it's definately not a favourite place of mine. Nothing special at all.

Have almost given up smoking. It just doesn't taste that good as it used to.
